Pink Butterfly

Hello everyone! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Today I’m going to share with you the first card from the August Make and Take. Take a look:

Stamps: Something to Celebrate, Four Frames
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Melon Mambo
DSP: Flirtatious
Ink: Versamark, Pink Pirouette
Accessories: Elegant Lines Textured Impressions Folder, Decorative Label Punch, Paper Snips, White embossing powder, Heat Tool, Embossing Buddy, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch, Two-Way Glue Pen, Basic Pearls Jewel Accents, Hobby Blade, Beautiful Wings Embosslit, small flower punch (Punch Pack), Tombow Multi-Purpose Adhesive

The card base is Crumb Cake cardstock that was cut at 4 ¼” x 11” and scored at 5 ½”. The card front was run through the Big Shot in the Elegant Lines Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. A piece of Flirtatious DSP was cut at 2” x 4 ¼”. The Embossing Buddy was rubbed over the DSP in the place where you want your greeting stamped. The greeting from Something to Celebrate was stamped in Versamark and then covered with White embossing powder. The excess was tapped off and the embossing powder was heated with the heat tool. The DSP was adhered to the bottom of the card front.

Next I used the Dotted Scallop Ribbon punch on a long scrap of Whisper White cardstock. The ribbon was adhered to the card front with the Two-Way Glue Pen covering the edge of the DSP. Two small flowers were punched from Melon Mambo cardstock scraps using the flower punch from the Punch Pack. One flower was adhere on top of the other, the petals lifted up, then the flower was adhered on top of the Whisper White ribbon. A single pearl was added to the center of the flower.

The image from Four Frames was stamped in Pink Pirouette ink on a scrap of Whisper White cardstock. The frame was punched out with the Decorative Label punch. The Beautiful Wings Embosslit was run through the Big Shot with Melon Mambo then with Whisper White cardstock scraps to get the two butterflies. The Whisper White butterfly was adhered to the center of the larger Melon Mambo butterfly. The wings were curled by wrapping them around a pencil or pen. Three pearls were added to the center of the butterfly to create the body. The butterfly was adhered to the label with a Stampin’ Dimensional. The label was adhered to the card with two Stampin’ Dimensionals.

That’s it! This card was cased from a card created by Maureen Merritt. Thanks Maureen for the wonderful inspiration! You can find her card HERE and her blog HERE.
