Daffodil Square Cupcake

Here is the fifth cupcake card. All this talk about cupcakes lately is making me crave one of those delightful sweet treats! Anyway…here is the card:

Stamps: Create A Cupcake
Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Old Olive
DSP: Springtime DSP, Real Red Glimmer Paper
Ink: Basic Black, Chocolate Chip, Rose Red
Accessories: Scallop Square Die, 2 3/8” Scalloped Circle Punch, 1 ¾” Scalloped Circle Punch, Build A Cupcake Punch, Stampin’ Dimensionals, White Gel Pen, Rose Red Seam Binding Ribbon

The card base is Daffodil Delight cardstock that was cut at 5” x 11” and scored at 5 ½”. The cardstock was folded and placed on the Scalloped Square die so that the fold was just inside the blade for the scallops on one side. You don’t want to cut off the entire fold of the card or you won’t have a card, you’ll just have two scalloped squares of cardstock.

A piece of Springtime DSP was cut at 3 5/8” x 3 5/8” and was adhered to a 3 ¾” x 3 ¾” piece of Whisper White cardstock. A piece of Whisper White cardstock was cut at ½” x 3 ½” and was stamped with the greeting from Create A Cupcake in Basic Black ink. This greeting was adhered to the bottom of the DSP and piece of Rose Red Seam Binding Ribbon was wrapped around the panel just above the greeting and tied into a knot. This panel was then adhered to the card front.

The cupcake bottom was stamped in Chocolate Chip ink and the cupcake top was stamped in Rose Red ink on a scrap of Whisper White cardstock. The cupcake pieces were punched out with the Build A Cupcake Punch. The cherry was punched from Real Red Glimmer Paper with the Build A Cupcake punch.

The 1 ¾” circle punch was used on a scrap of Daffodil Delight cardstock and the 2 3/8” Scalloped Circle Punch was used on a scrap of Old Olive cardstock. The Daffodil Delight circle was adhered to the Old Olive circle. The White Gel Pen was used to add white dots inside the scallops around the Old Olive scalloped circle. This just adds a fun detail to the scalloped circle. The cupcake pieces were adhered to the Daffodil Delight circle with the Two Way Glue Pen. The circle was adhered to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

That’s it for this card!
