Vacation Scrapbook Page

Today I have a My Digital Studio scrapbook page to show you. These are a couple of pictures from the Disney Cruise vacation that my Husband, Myself, and a bunch of my family went to last fall. I will say that we had the best time ever! I just can't wait until we get to go again in 31 days! is the page:

This page features a technique that allows you to use a photo as your background paper. To do this open up a new project as a blank page. Add a photo box and enlarge the photo box to fit the size of your page by dragging the corners. I made sure to make it just a little bit larger than the page so there aren't any un-even white lines around the edge. Then add your photo and change the opacity to about 50%. Then you will have a background paper that looks like mine above.

This page also features the new stamp brush set All In A Word and the set Frames With A Flourish. I added my photo and mat, some silver brads from the Hodgepodge Hardware kit, some text, and that was it! I really wanted to keep this page simple to show off the background photo.

What do you think? Falling in love with My Digital Studio yet? Come back tomorrow to see a color challenge card!

  1. I love this page. I was not going to get MDS but seeing your work has possibly pushed me over the edge. I am making a scrapbook for my mother in-law's 80th birthday and have some old pictures of the boat that they came to Canada on. Was going to do this as an old fashioned paper book but may change my mind. Then everyone could just pay for the book if they wanted a copy.

    Thanks for the wonderful idea.

  2. This is a great page and layout!!! TFS!
